Mr. McIlvane is President & Chief Executive Officer for McIlvanePartners, Inc. Prior to starting up McIlvanePartners, Inc., he held several positions at Clarent Corporation including Executive Vice President, Business Operations, Senior Vice President of Worldwide Sales and Marketing and Vice President of Sales & Field Marketing.

Prior to his tenure at Clarent, Mr. McIlvane was Vice President of Sales & Marketing for Comverse Technology. He has been at the forefront of "Developing" technologies, providing leadership with the early adapters in their understanding and deployment. In the early eighties it was Electronic Imaging, mid-eighties the beginnings of Voice Mail, in the early nineties, Intelligent Network Applications, and over the last few years VoIP. Mr. McIlvane has also held senior level positions at Bell & Howell Company and ACI Telecom/ US West. He is a noted speaker, and blends his broad understanding of technology with a vision and delivery style that is both entertaining and informative.

On a more personal note, Mr. McIlvane was born September 16, 1953 in Pittsburgh, PA. He was the second of five children. Growing up Mr. McIlvane participated in an array of sports; baseball, football, soccer, lacrosse, but his passions lay in skiing, golf and wrestling. He wrestled throughout his high school and college years. To this day Mark still enjoys skiing and golf. Mr. McIlvane has always been a high-energy person, and he continues that in his philanthropic efforts through The McIlvane Foundation, which is committed with its efforts to helping student athletes and community-based organizations. The Foundation's contributions have to date exceeded over one million dollars.
